New Info on Rocko & the woman he supposedly hit

January 28, 2009. Yesterday MediaTakeOut.com reported to you that R&B singer Monica’s fiancé Rodney “Rocko” Hill plead NO CONTEST to charges that he assaulted a woman.

Well the crack team of reporters over at MediaTakeOut.com did some digging into what popped off that night – and discovered some SHOCKING new information.

According to a snitch who was in the club that night, the woman who was assaulted was asked to leave the VIP area because it was overcrowded. The snitch told MediaTakeOut.com, “She didn’t want to leave and so security threw her out … some 300 lb dude flung her around like she was a ragdoll.”

But instead of blaming the club’s security, she blamed Monica’s finace. The insider continued, “She even tried to sue [Monica and Rocko]. But since she didn’t have any evidence, the lawsuit ended up going nowhere … Once the lawsuit was over, she lost interest in the whole thing … she wasn’t even pressing charges anymore.”

Yet despite the lack of evidence, the Georgia prosecutors went after Rocko for the assault.

And MediaTakeOut.com spoke to R&B singer Monica about the entire ordeal. And while she didn’t want to comment on the specifics of the case, she told MediaTakeOut.com, that Rocko DID NOT assault anyone.

Monica explained, “[Rocko] was prepared to fight this all the way to trial. But at the advice of his attorney Dwight Thomas (aka - the lawyer who got T.I. that GREAT plea deal) he decided that it would be best to plead no contest and put the whole thing behind us.”

But that wasn’t it - Monica added, “I also wanted to thank my fans for all their concern. But please let them know that I have a very loving relationship with Rocko and he is ABSOLUTELY NOT a violent man towards me or any other woman.”

I'm keeping my cool. You are not a man if you ever hit a woman (unless she is coming at you w/ a knife..then you beat her down..lol) otherwise there in no excuse to hit a woman. PERIOD!! I know Monica will never allow a man to do this to her...but, this left a bad taste in my mouth about Rocko. I hope he learned his lesson!

ATLANTA -- An Atlanta rapper will spend 48 hours behind bars for hitting a woman.

“Rocko,” whose real name is Rodney Hill Jr., pleaded no contest Monday to battery charges.

The DeKalb solicitor said the rapper pulled a woman’s hair and struck her in the face at a local nightclub in Feb. 2007. The victim sustained injuries to her face and eye, including a swollen, black-eye and broken blood vessels within the eye.

Hill, who is engaged to the singer Monica, must also serve 12 months probation and complete community service.

Dionne Warwick may be headed back to San Jose sooner than she thinks. Her unofficial inaugural ball has just been cancelled because of slumping tickets sales. She couldn't see that coming?

Don't pass it off to age either. Ludacris was hosting a ball as well that got 86'd for the same reason.

We're told the suckers who shelled out money for the events will get refunds in 30 to 45 days.

What we're wondering... will Dionne get kicked out of the hotel she was bragging about.
